The Reverend Paul Gregory Alms, Pastor
Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod
Redeemer Lutheran Church is active in missions and evangelism. We tend to see evangelism and outreach as a part of our daily calling. Mission is not the work of a committee or a program or a select group in church; it is what Christians do. We gather as God’s people in worship and and hear the Word and with joy we then go and share the Gospel in our families and daily lives and the places where God calls us.
Redeemer is also active in organized mission activities. Various groups from Redeemer have traveled to the Outer Banks, New Orleans (twice), New York City, Baltimore, Chicago and Tuscaloosa to do various kinds of mission work. We have an active group that builds wheel chair ramps for local folks in need. We collect food for the local relief agencies and elementary schools and are involved in various social ministry projects throughout the year.

ECCCM is a Christian ministry, born of our local supportive churches, that fulfills the biblical message our pastors teach on Sunday: being the body of Christ into the world. In addition to our supportive churches, ECCCM receives support for individuals, local businesses and foundations.
ECCCM serves all of eastern Catawba County (ECCCM service area), providing emergency financial assistance for mortgage and rent payments, assistance with utility bills, fuel oil and kerosene purchases, and life-necessary pharmaceuticals. In addition, ECCCM provides emergency food and clothing to those in need.
The Bridge Hispanic Mission is a Catawba County, NC Christian ministry that focuses on building cross-cultural relationships and sharing the gospel toward the goal of developing a bilingual church.
It was officially launched as a ministry under St. Stephens Lutheran Church in January 2009. The mission of The Bridge is to connect Hispanic families to Christ and community.
The Siberian Lutheran Mission Society (SLMS) encourages, enables and supports the important work of Lutherans and The Siberian Evangelical Lutheran Church (SELC) in Siberian regions of Russia. The growing Siberian Evangelical Lutheran Church (SELC) is a place where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached and the Holy Sacraments offered to sinners seeking forgiveness and healing of body and soul. While they may speak a different language, our Siberian brothers and sisters in Christ are baptized in the name of the same Lord and worship the same Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our mission begins and finds its conclusion in the Word and Sacraments properly administered.
