Barbara Sigmon became the organist  and choir director for Redeemer in the '70's.  Her  musical talents enhance our worship services and other programs we host or present throughout the church-year. A most gifted vocalist Barbara is a member of the Catawba Valley Community Chorus and is called upon to sing and play for weddings and other events throughout Catawba County.
Those who enhance our worship with music ....
Music at Redeemer is a family affair, meaning there is room for all!   We have our Adult Choir which leads in worship on most Sundays.   We also encourage our children to be involved in special occasions with our Childrens' Choir, those who don't like to sing are invited to play the cymbals or triangle or even be in charge of our microphones. The children's voices are especially important during our holiday celebrations.

Our handbells are played alternately by the Adult Bell Choir which rings 2 octaves and smaller ensembles. During the summer college break the youth of Redeemer take over the bells and enhance our worship with their style.

Suzanne Alms, took over the role of children's choir director when Pastor Alms brought his family to Redeemer in 1996.  In 2003 The family of David Hunsucker dedicated hand bells to Redeemer in his memory.   Suzanne's musical talents quickly made her the perfect candidate to direct our children and adult hand bell choirs.
